Palermo capture Danilo Ortiz

Italian side Palermo have completed the loan signing of Paraguayan defender Danilo Ortiz from Cerro Porteno.

The 21-year-old has signed until the end of the season, though Palermo have an option to buy him outright in the summer.

Ortiz, who primarily operates as a centre-back, has taken the number 22 shirt at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

He broke into the Paraguay national side in 2013, and has three caps for his country.

Palermo currently sit eighth in Serie A, with 27 points from 20 games.
