Karl Robinson to lead Oxford United after Charlton Athletic exit?

Oxford United have reportedly identified Karl Robinson as their number-one managerial target.

On Thursday, it was confirmed that Robinson had decided to leave his role at Charlton Athletic, with a consortium wanting to bring in their own man once a takeover of the Addicks is completed.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Robinson will not be out of work for long with Oxford seemingly keen to bring in the 37-year-old.

The League One outfit have been without a permanent boss since Pep Clotet departed the club in January, but it appears that Robinson will be brought in ahead of Sunday's game with Portsmouth.

Oxford currently sit in 16th place in the standings, five points above the relegation zone.
