Olympiacos appoint Vitor Pereira as manager

Olympiacos have appointed Vitor Pereira as their new manager, having sacked former head coach Michel yesterday.

Pereira has previous experience with Portuguese side Porto, whom he led to back-to-back domestic titles during a two-year stint.

The decision to appoint Pereira comes after Michel was dismissed with the Greek club sitting in second place in the Super League standings, where leaders PAOK find themselves ahead by just one point.

Pereira's last managerial position saw him head up Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
