Willi Evseev to join Nuremberg

Wolfsburg midfielder Willi Evseev has agreed a deal to join Nuremberg on a three-year contract at the end of the season.

Evseev made his debut for Wolfsburg in October, but has only been involved in two first-team matches for the club since, causing him to decide against extending his contract.

The 22-year-old will now join Nuremberg when his current deal runs out, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2017.

"I have to thank a lot of people in Wolfsburg. Under [manager] Dieter Hecking, I had the chance to experience Bundesliga football. But I have decided not to extend my contract at Wolfsburg," Evseev told Nuremberg's official website.

"The conversations I had with [Nuremberg coach] Gertjan Verbeek and [chairman] Martin Bader made it clear what the club has in store for me.

"There are a lot of examples that show how good a decision it is to move to Nurnberg as a young player."

Nuremberg are currently 12th in the Bundesliga table, seven places and 16 points behind Wolfsburg.
