Nottingham Forest lineup vs Crystal Palace: Predicted XI for first Premier League away trip of the season

Three debutants in contention to feature: Predicted Nottingham Forest XI vs. Crystal Palace

Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo could hand debuts to three new signings when they travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.

Omari Hutchinson and James McAtee were both introduced to the City Ground at half time of their 3-1 win over Brentford last weekend, after making big-money moves from Ipswich Town and Manchester City, respectively.

Arnaud Kalimuendo has followed, arriving from Rennes after another impressive season in Ligue 1, with all three set to add strength in attack for the Garibaldi this season.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a comprehensive preseason at Rennes, so should be ready and raring to go, but the two young Englishmen have barely featured since returning from the Euro Under-21s over the summer, so may take a little longer to get up to pace.

There is no doubt about who will start in attack, as Chris Wood’s brace meant he was one of the top performers in the division on the opening day, and he has scored in two of his last three appearances against Palace.

Nuno’s lineup had a very familiar look to it last weekend, with much of the XI being regulars from last season, apart from the now-departed Anthony Elanga, who was replaced by goalscorer Dan Ndoye.

Nicolas Dominguez is the only current injury absentee for the visitors, so that means either Ibrahim Sangare or Ryan Yates will line up alongside Elliott Anderson in midfield.

Nottingham Forest possible starting lineup:

Sels; Aina, Murillo, Milenkovic, Williams; Yates, Anderson; Ndoye, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood
