Nottingham Forest injury news: Oliver Glasner reveals doubts over key player ahead of Brentford game

Nottingham Forest star joins injury doubts ahead of Brentford game

Oliver Glasner has revealed that Dan Ndoye is an injury doubt ahead of Nottingham Forest facing Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

After last week's 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town, Forest sit in 18th position in the Premier League table.

While Glasner is under no immediate pressure to keep his job at the City Ground, just six goals being scored in eight matches is a major concern.

Ndoye has netted a third of those goals, while the Switzerland international has started all eight top-flight games since Glasner's arrival.

However, ahead of Forest facing the Bees, Glasner has hinted that the versatile attacker may sit out the upcoming fixture at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Glasner provides Nottingham Forest injury update

Speaking at a press conference, Glasner suggested that Ndoye has muscle fatigue after a hectic schedule.

The Austrian told reporters: "Nicolo Savona and Igor Jesus still out.

"Nicolas Dominguez is progressing very well but he'll train for the first time tomorrow with the team, let's see if the game is maybe a little bit too early, but he should be fine and ready for City.

"There is a doubt with Dan Ndoye. He felt after the game and the entire week, also the last week since returning from Switzerland with some hamstring fatigue. And so he's a doubt.

"Let's see if he can train tomorrow with the team and doing well without taking any risk. He is available and if not he will miss the game but then he should be okay for City."

Although Neco Williams was also an injury doubt, Glasner has revealed that the defender has been declared fit.

Ndoye paying price for good form?

In terms of Premier League minutes, Ndoye is already closing in on the halfway point of the total (1,176 minutes) that he accumulated in the division in 2026-27.

During the international break, the 26-year-old also made four starts for Switzerland, taking him to 12 starts for club and country this season after also playing six times at the World Cup, five of those outings being starts.

Glasner appears conscious of being over-reliant on Ndoye at this stage of the campaign when he has alternatives at his disposal.
