Norwich City turn down Grant Holt's transfer request

Norwich City have reportedly rejected Grant Holt's attempt to leave the club by turning down a transfer request.

Reports emerged today claiming that the prolific striker had lodged a surprise transfer request, despite a positive season for the Canaries.

While the 31-year-old is thought to have a desire to leave Carrow Road, it is believed that the former Championship side have rejected his request to depart the club, according to PA Sport.

Paul Lambert's side were successful in their bid to remain in the Premier League following promotion last summer.
