Grant Holt to join West Ham United?

Norwich City striker Grant Holt is reportedly close to completing a move to West Ham United.

The 31-year-old submitted a written transfer request at the end of the season, and it is understood that new Canaries boss Chris Hughton does not want to keep an unhappy player at the club.

According to The Mirror, Holt wants a substantial pay increase on his current £15,000-a-week contract – something which the Hammers could offer.

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is also reportedly preparing a bid.
