Nigel Clough wants Chris Martin stay

Derby County boss Nigel Cough has revealed that he wants to extend the loan stay of Norwich City defender Chris Martin.

The 24-year-old's one-month loan deal is due to expire on Saturday, but Clough has admitted that he will "try and get something sorted" with the Canaries.

"We've been very pleased with his performances so far and we would like to extend his loan," Clough told the Derby Telegraph.

"We will have a chat with Norwich and, hopefully, try and get something sorted to keep him."

Derby currently sit 15th in the Championship table.
