Norwich City look into Ryan Bennett tweets

Norwich have confirmed this evening that defender Ryan Bennett is the subject of an internal investigation relating to alleged remarks made on Twitter.

In a statement on their official website, the Canaries said that they were waiting for further communication from the Football Association regarding any possible charge for the 23-year-old.

The FA made no comment tonight, while the England Under-21 international's Twitter page has been shut down.

Bennett, who moved to Norfolk from Peterborough United last year, scored City's opening goal in their 2-1 win over Reading on Saturday.
