Norwich City manager 'disappointed' to lose Bradley Johnson for two games

Bradley Johnson's two-game ban is "disappointing", says Norwich City manager Alex Neil.

Norwich City manager Alex Neil has said that Bradley Johnson's two-match ban gives a chance to another member of his squad against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Johnson was given his 10th yellow card of the season against Sheffield Wednesday yesterday for re-entering the pitch without the referee's permission, after he was treated for an injury on the touchline.

Neil told Sky Sports News: "It's obviously disappointing to lose Bradley for a couple of games but it is a squad game and we have other good players who can come in. This gives someone else the chance to impress and it will be up to him to take it.

"It's a shame because it looked like an avoidable yellow card to me. Players always like to get back on the pitch quickly and whether than warranted a yellow card I don't know. But it is what it is and we have to move on."

Johnson scored both goals in the 2-0 win.
