Chris Wilder hails Northampton Town players

Northampton Town manager Chris Wilder hails the attitude of his players after their 1-0 win over Eastleigh.

Northampton Town manager Chris Wilder has said that the attitude of his players was "superb" following their 1-0 win over Eastleigh.

Summer signing John-Joe O'Toole scored the game's only goal as Northampton finished their pre-season campaign.

"The conditions were great, the environment was good and it was competitive which is what we want it to be," he told the Northants Telegraph.

"We wanted a really tough test, especially in our last game, and we got one. We wanted it to be as close as what we can expect next week and it was and I am delighted.

"The team was a mixed team, there were a lot of things we just chucked on the players before they went out there, and their attitude was superb."

Northampton begin their League Two season next Saturday with a clash against Mansfield.
