'Up to 40' dead at Egyptian football match

Up to 40 people are thought to have died following violent clashes at a football match in the Egyptian city of Port Said.

Supporters invaded the pitch after the match between top-flight sides Masry and Ahly.

Some fans chased players into the corner of the stadium, which was then set on fire.

Fans are also believed to have taken knives into the stadium, according to BBC Sport.

The death toll could rise due to many people being injured.
