Silvestre Varela has admitted that he is delighted to be back at Porto following his loan spell with Parma.
The winger spent the second half of last season with the Italians before they were declared bankrupt.
Varela, 30, marked his return to Porto with a goal during the team's 5-1 thrashing of Fortuna Sittard in a friendly on Wednesday.
"I am extremely happy to be back at FC Porto," he is quoted as saying by the club's official website. "I hope to help the team achieve the goals set, as that is what I am here for. These last days have been of intense work, but the team has been responding well. The training is demanding, but I believe we are on the right path."
Varela has scored five goals in 26 games for the Portuguese national side.
