Coach Gianluca Atzori has been sacked by Sampdoria, the Serie B club confirmed this evening.
The Samp board took the decision to terminate Atzori's contract following a 1-0 home defeat to Vicenza last time out.
The 40-year-old took over the Genoa-based club during the summer following a spell in charge of Reggina.
Samp are currently seventh in the Serie B table, 11 points behind leaders Torino.
