Leonardo Jardim leaves Braga after just one year

Primeira Liga club Braga have parted company with coach Leonardo Jardim by mutual consent after just one year with him at the helm.

Braga finished third, after being overhauled by Porto and Benfica in the last two months of the season.

A club statement said: "Braga and coach Leonardo Jardim agreed to terminate their contract by mutual consent.

"Jardim will be part of yet another page of Braga's successes. The objectives he achieved rank him among the best."

Jardim signed a three-year contract after succeeding Domingos Paciencia, but lasted less than a full year.
