Bayer Leverkusen interim boss Sami Hyypia could reportedly be given the job on a permanent basis.
The 38-year-old was promoted from his role as reserve coach on Sunday, but according to Express, if he is successful, he could secure the job for the 2012/2013 campaign.
Leverkusen are currently seventh in the Bundesliga table, 23 points shy of leaders Borussia Dortmund, with 28 games played.
Hyypia ended his playing career with the German club in 2011.
