Footballers past and present have been taking to Twitter to give their reaction to the release of the Hillsborough files.

Following 23 years of unanswered questions, the truth has finally been released regarding the Hillsborough disaster.

Ninety-six Liverpool supporters lost their lives on April 15, 1989 during a crush prior to their club's FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest.
