FC Twente’s stadium collapses

Part of the stadium of Dutch club FC Twente has collapsed, trapping an unknown number people.

A section of De Grolsch Veste in Enschede, which has been undergoing redevelopment, gave way at around midday local time.

The number and severity of casualties at the scene are not yet known.

“Part of the roof has collapsed,” said a spokesperson. “There are people under the rubble. We don’t know how many.”
