The Football Association will completely overhaul their structure of grassroots football after a motion to adapt youth football was approved by an 87% vote at Wembley.
The vote was cast in London today after a number of proposals were put forward to change the game at a junior level.
The governing body have confirmed that they will implement a 'child friendly plan', which will eliminate competition for the youngest members of the group as well as move under-13s to full sized pitches and goals.
The motion will also allow the modification of pitches at junior level, which will see them decrease as well as the goals.
On top of those adaptations, the FA have revealed that there will be a gradual increase in number of players per team through the various age groups.
The FA needed 75% of the vote in order for the proposals to be accepted.
