Clattenburg will not referee this weekend

Referee Mark Clattenburg will not officiate a Premier League match this weekend.

The 37-year-old has been accused by Chelsea of using "inappropriate language" during the club's 3-2 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Football Association has opened an investigation into claims that Clattenburg racially abused Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel.

It has also been suggested that the experienced official exchanged words with Juan Mata towards the end of the clash at Stamford Bridge.

The exact reasons for Clattenburg's absence this weekend are yet to be revealed.
