Pardew hints at Remy move

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has hinted that he may return for Loic Remy after his move from Queens Park Rangers to Liverpool broke down.

The France international striker, who enjoyed a successful season on loan at the Magpies last term, was expected to complete an £8.5m move to Anfield, but the move collapsed amid reported fears over a failed medical.

Pardew has since claimed that Remy's new situation is something that he will be keeping an eye on.

Sky Sports News quotes him as saying: "I am surprised about what's happening with Loic because I thought he was signing for Liverpool and that door was slammed shut.

"I didn't expect that, and we certainly had no problem with Loic during his time with us. So we shall monitor it as we go along."

Remy scored 14 times during his stay with Newcastle last term.
