Arjen Robben slams "incomprehensible" injury during Iceland defeat

Arjen Robben slams the "incomprehensible" injury that could rule him out of the Netherlands' Euro 2016 qualifier with Turkey.

Arjen Robben has lamented the injury that saw him last just half-an-hour of the Netherlands' 1-0 Euro 2016 qualifying defeat to Iceland on Thursday night.

The 31-year-old pulled up with a groin problem in the first half of last night's setback in Eindhoven and the Bayern Munich man expects to undergo scans in Germany today.

"There will probably be a flight to Munich tomorrow," he told NOS.

"It's really incomprehensible. Specialists will now begin to say that I am prone to injury. But I was very fit and started super sharp in the competition."

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid winger could now miss Sunday's crucial qualifier with Turkey.
