Scottish Cup Roundup: Both Dundee clubs advance, holders St Johnstone through

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish Cup action as holders St Johnstone advance to the fifth round of this years competition, along with both Dundee clubs.

Dundee have progressed in the Scottish Cup after David Clarkson scored an injury-time winner in their fourth-round tie against Aberdeen this afternoon.

Meanwhile, neighbours Dundee United reversed an early Motherwell goal to join them in the draw.

It did not take Dundee long to get off the mark as Thomas Konrad nodded home a Gary Harkins cross with four minutes on the clock, though the visitors were back level shortly after when Niall McGinn hit a low drive which Konrad deflected into the back of his own net.

The tie looked likely to end a stalemate until James McPake charged forward in stoppage time and set up Clarkson for a tap in which put the Dees in the hat for the fifth round.

Meanwhile, the Terrors were matching their rivals with a 2-1 win over Motherwell, who took an early lead through Estonia international Henrik Ojamaa.

It took the visitors an hour of huffing and puffing before they managed to level through John Souttar, and the turnaround would be completed on 82 minutes when Keith Watson found the back of the Well net.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Partick Thistle and Scottish Cup holders St Johnstone, with St Mirren and Inverness Caledonian Thistle playing out a 1-1 draw.
