Charlie Penny signs Millwall deal

Millwall midfielder Charlie Penny has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 18-year-old, who is a graduate of the Lions' youth academy, has been offered a one-year deal by the Championship side.

"I'm thrilled to have turned professional with Millwall and I know there is a lot of hard work to be done now," he told the club's official website.

"I'm confident in my ability and if I keep progressing with the development squad and score a few goals, hopefully I'll break into the first team squad."

Millwall recently appointed Steve Lomas as their new manager.
