Millwall captain Paul Robinson delighted with Ian Holloway appointment

Robinson delighted with Holloway arrival

Millwall skipper Paul Robinson has praised the board for managing to bring in a new manager of Ian Holloway's "calibre".

Holloway was announced as the replacement for sacked coach Steve Lomas on Monday and Robinson has spoken highly of Holloway's impact already.

"He's full of excitement and enthusiasm, and he spoke really well to us," centre-back Robinson told the club website.

"The chairman and the board have done really well to appoint someone of his calibre because he comes with a track record of getting clubs promoted out of this division.

"The manager has always had his teams playing attractive football, and the players are looking forward to the challenge of working on that style of play over the coming weeks and months."

Holloway takes over with Millwall just outside the Championship's drop zone. His first game in charge will be at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
