Brandao confirms Marseille exit

Brandao says that he will be available on a free transfer this summer after failing to secure a contract extension at Marseille.

Brandao has confirmed that he will part company with Marseille this summer.

The Brazilian striker, whose goal dumped Inter Milan out of the Champions League this season, said that he would like to continue playing in Europe.

He confirmed that he has not been offered a new contract at the Stade Velodrome and will now take a holiday before deciding where his future lies.

"My contract ends in June, so this is the end of my adventure with OM", said the 31-year-old. "Nobody at the club, nor the president, or anyone else, has asked me to continue with them.

"I will first go on holiday to Brazil before taking care of my future. I'll talk with my agent, but it is clear that I would like to continue playing in Europe. I have not yet received any proposals though."

Brandao joined Les Phoceens from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2009.
