Marcelo Bielsa: 'My contract with Marseille is up at end of season'

Bielsa: 'My contract is up in July'

Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa has refused to confirm where his future lies, stating that his contract with the Ligue 1 club ends in the summer.

The Argentine is refusing to pledge his future to Marseille, despite his side currently sitting two points behind league leaders Lyon.

The 59-year-old's contract is reportedly up in July, contradicting initial reports that he signed a two-year deal last May.

"Such rumours are common during this time of the year. There is nothing new to say. I only speak of concrete facts and I will not confirm or deny this," Bielsa told reporters.

"All I can say is that both sides have agreed to this. As soon as the season ends, the contract ends.

"Will I stay at OM? I can't eliminate the possibility but I can't confirm it either."

Bielsa is reportedly being scouted by Japan to become their new head coach, once the manager's contract is up with Marseille.
