Manchester United 'consider £40m Douglas Costa swoop'

Manchester United are reportedly considering a £40m move for Bayern Munich attacker Douglas Costa.

Costa, 27, is currently on a season-long loan from Bayern at Juventus, and the Brazilian has scored three times and registered seven assists in 35 appearances for the Italian champions this term.

Bayern are reportedly prepared to sell the versatile forward at the end of the 2017-18 campaign, and according to The Mirror, United boss Jose Mourinho is weighing up a summer swoop.

The 20-time English champions were linked with Costa during his time at Shakhtar Donetsk, but he ultimately made the move to Bayern in 2015 - scoring 14 times in 77 appearances for the German giants before leaving for Juventus.

United will return to Premier League action with a home game against Swansea City next weekend.
