Report: United step up Wan-Bissaka interest

Manchester United have reportedly increased their efforts to bring in right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

The Red Devils are one of a number of Premier League clubs to have been linked with the £40m-rated defender, along with Arsenal and Manchester City.

Teams across the continent are also keeping an eye on Wan-Bissaka's performances, with German duo Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich rumoured to be weighing up an offer.

With interest in the England international hopeful growing, The Sun suggests that United know they have to be ready to make their move, seeing the youngster as an ideal long-term option on the right side of their back four.

An Old Trafford source is quoted by the publication as saying: "Scouts were at Burnley a few weekends back along with Brighton. That is around a dozen times since December.

"They really do like what they see and all the reports back are excellent. He is definitely someone close on the radar. [Antonio] Valencia is leaving and Ashley Young is getting on in years. Diogo Dalot is excellent but you can't rely on him too heavily."

Palace boss Roy Hodgson recently insisted that Wan-Bissaka is 'not bothered' about the speculation over his future.
