Report: Manchester United preparing £125m spree

A report claims that Manchester United will spend £125m on three new signings - Arturo Vidal, Angel di Maria and Mehdi Benatia - before the transfer window closes.

Manchester United will reportedly spend £125m on three new signings before the transfer window slams shut at the start of next month.

Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera have arrived at the club this summer, but it is understood that Louis van Gaal is still keen to add to his squad before the start of the campaign.

According to the Daily Express, Arturo Vidal will eventually arrive from Juventus in a deal that could see Javier Hernandez make the switch to Turin.

Real Madrid's Angel di Maria could also be recruited, in addition to Roma centre-back Mehdi Benatia.

United open their Premier League campaign against Swansea City on Saturday.
