Manchester United will reportedly break their transfer record by lodging a £30.8m bid for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to break the club's transfer record for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The Premier League champions are determined to strengthen their midfield options this summer, with the former Arsenal captain believed to be high on their list of priorities.

While some reports have claimed that United could give up on their pursuit of the Spain international following two failed bids, the Red Devils will lodge a £30.8m offer, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Barcelona have stated that the 26-year-old is not for sale, while the player himself is believed to be keen on staying at Camp Nou.
