Lloris: 'Nothing came of United interest'

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has revealed that a summer move to Manchester United could have been on the cards, but nothing came of their interest.

The Frenchman was linked with a switch to Old Trafford amid rumours that David de Gea was working on a transfer to Real Madrid.

However, in the end, De Gea signed a new deal with United and Lloris remained a Spurs player.

"I feel very good," Lloris told beIN Sport. "The transfer window does not upset me. I kept a certain distance, so I was focused on my preparation with Tottenham.

"I am happy to string together matches with my club. The interest of Manchester United? There could have been a development but there was none. Although much has been written, I must stay focused."

Lloris joined Spurs from Lyon in 2012.
