Fosu-Mensah 'offered Man United contract until June 2024'

Manchester United have reportedly offered versatile defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah a new contract until June 2024.

The 22-year-old's existing deal at Old Trafford is due to expire next summer, meaning that he will be free to discuss terms with foreign clubs at the start of 2021.

Marseille and Hertha Berlin are both said to be interested in the Netherlands international, who was reintroduced into the first-team picture at United earlier this year.

According to Sky Sports News, the 20-time English champions are keen to keep Fosu-Mensah and have placed a new three-and-a-half-year deal on the table for the Dutchman.

However, the report claims that the former Ajax youngster is considering his options as he wants to secure regular first-team football, which has been hard to come by at Old Trafford.

Fosu-Mensah has only made three appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this season, while he has not been involved in a Premier League squad since the end of November.
