DC United manager Wayne Rooney has reportedly been learning from Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag after visiting the club's training ground.

DC United manager Wayne Rooney has reportedly been learning from Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.

After resigning as Derby County manager in June, Rooney was appointed as head coach of DC United less than a month later.

While he was unable to improve the fortunes of a struggling DC United side, who eventually finished bottom of the Eastern Conference, Rooney will already be preparing for his first full season in charge of the MLS club.

According to the Daily Mail, Rooney is regularly visiting Manchester United's training ground during the off-season to watch his sons Kai and Klay play for the club's academy.

The report states that while attending the Carrington training facility, the ex-Man United forward has received advice from Ten Hag.

Rooney has reportedly been impressed by Ten Hag's management, and he believes there are some similarities between the Dutchman and his former boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

While Rooney will be looking towards the 2023 MLS season, he has previously stated his objective is to be Man United manager in the future.
