Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has started pre-season training with the club.
The 30-year-old was given an extended break by new United boss Louis van Gaal following his exploits with the Netherlands at this summer's World Cup.
Van Gaal has since suggested that the centre-forward will not be fit enough to feature against Swansea City on the opening day of the Premier League season in just under a fortnight.
However, Van Persie took to Twitter this afternoon to reveal that he is "looking forward" to returning to the club duties.
Back in training today after a short break. Looking forward to the new season sooo much!! Hope you all feeling the same 😉 @ManUtd
