Phil Jones sad to see Danny Welbeck leave Manchester United

Phil Jones admits that he is "sorry" to see Danny Welbeck leave Manchester United for Arsenal.

Manchester United defender Phil Jones has admitted that he will miss playing alongside Danny Welbeck following his move to Arsenal.

The England international signed for the Gunners on Monday's transfer deadline day for a reported £16m fee.

The forward opted to leave Old Trafford after the Red Devils secured the signature of Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan from Monaco.

"He's been a big player for Manchester United and I'm sorry to see him go," talkSPORT quotes Jones as saying. "I wish him all the best. He's a good friend and a great player and he will be a great addition to the Arsenal team."

Welbeck came through the youth ranks at United.
