Anderson to "prove" himself at Manchester United

Anderson is determined to prove what he can do at Manchester United following an injury-hit 2012.

Manchester United midfielder Anderson has revealed that he is determined to prove what he can do at the club following an injury-hit 2012.

Despite starting the season as part of United's first team, Anderson has played just three times since his injury last November. The Brazilian now believes that he has a point to prove to his manager and teammates.

"I started last season with no problems but then I started to feel my knee a bit," Anderson told the club's official website.

"When I came back I thought everything was fine, but then I had more bad luck. I'm just focused on staying fit now and doing my best to work hard and give 100% for the team.

"This season it's very important that I don't have any more injuries. I need to prove what I can do."

The 24-year-old signed for United in 2007.
