Man United injury, suspension news vs. Brighton: Luke Shaw return date emerges after positive injury update

Shaw update: Man United injury, suspension news vs. Brighton

Manchester United will be aiming to make it successive wins in the Premier League for the first time this season when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils will enter the contest off the back of a 3-1 success over Southampton, with Amad Diallo netting a late hat trick for the 20-time English champions to spare their blushes against the division's basement club.

Ruben Amorim's side are currently 12th in the Premier League table, five points behind ninth-placed Brighton, so another victory here would be valuable in their bid to move into the top half of the division.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Brighton, who were also in action on Thursday, beating Ipswich Town 2-0 at Portman Road.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Unknown

Lindelof was forced off in the first half of the recent clash with Tottenham Hotspur due to an injury problem, and the Sweden international remains on the sidelines for the Red Devils.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: February 8 (vs. Leicester City)

Shaw has only made three appearances this season due to ongoing injury problems, but Amorim has said that the left-back could return to training before the end of the month, while he could be available for selection towards the start of February.

Mason Mount

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Unknown

Mount was again absent against Southampton due to the problem which forced him off the field against Manchester City in the Manchester derby last month, and the Englishman is still not close to making his return.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no players suspended for the Premier League clash, with Portugal international Diogo Dalot available again after serving a suspension against Southampton on Thursday night.
