Man Utd injury update vs. Palace - Fernandes, McTominay, Maguire return dates

Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they head to Selhurst Park on Monday evening to tackle Crystal Palace.

Erik ten Hag's side will enter the match off the back of a 1-1 draw with relegation-threatened Burnley at Old Trafford last weekend.

The 20-time English champions are currently sixth in the Premier League table, six points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and one point ahead of seventh-placed Newcastle United.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Palace, who are 14th in the division, boasting 40 points from 35 matches.

Harry Maguire

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: May 25 (vs. Manchester City)

Maguire has been ruled out for three weeks due to a muscular problem, but he has a chance of being back for the FA Cup final at the end of the month.

Raphael Varane

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Varane was forced off at the interval of the recent clash with Chelsea due to another injury problem, and it remains to be seen whether he will recover before the end of the campaign.

Jonny Evans

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: May 6 (vs. Palace)

Evans has struggled with a number of muscular issues in recent weeks, but the centre-back returned to training on Thursday and has a slight chance of being in the squad for this match.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Lindelof will again be absent on Monday due to the hamstring issue which he picked up in the Premier League contest with Brentford at the end of March, but he should be back before the end of the season.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: Unknown

Martinez picked up a calf issue during a training session last month, and the Argentina international will again be missing for the 20-time English champions on Monday night.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia is back in individual training, as he bids to recover from a knee injury which has required two separate operations, but the Dutchman is unlikely to return to action until next season.

Anthony Martial

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

Martial, who underwent a groin operation in January, returned to team training alongside Evans on Thursday, but this match will come too soon for the forward.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw is currently on the sidelines with another muscular problem, but the left-back is believed to be on course to return to action before the season ends.

Willy Kambwala

Status: Out Type of injury: Unknown Possible return date: Unknown

Kambwala has missed Man United's last three matches with an unspecified issue, and he will again be absent for the 20-time English champions at Selhurst Park.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Out Type of injury: Unknown Possible return date: Unknown

Rashford did not feature against Sheffield United or Burnley due to a problem which he picked up against Coventry in the FA Cup, and the attacker will again be sidelined for this match.

Scott McTominay

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: May 6 (vs. Palace)

McTominay was forced off in the latter stages of the clash against Burnley due to a knee injury, but he is expected to train on Saturday and has a chance of being in the squad for this match.

Bruno Fernandes

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: May 6 (vs. Palace)

Head coach Ten Hag said on Thursday that Fernandes was a doubt for the game against Palace due to a minor injury problem, with the Portugal international therefore requiring a late fitness test.
