Manchester United injury update vs. Bournemouth - Marcus Rashford latest

Man Utd injury update vs. Bournemouth - Rashford latest

Manchester United will be bidding to win in the Premier League for the first time in over a month when they head to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening to tackle Bournemouth.

The Red Devils will enter the match off the back of a 2-2 draw with Liverpool, which followed a 1-1 draw with Brentford and a 4-3 loss to Chelsea during a busy period after the March international break.

Erik ten Hag's side sit 11 points behind both fifth-placed Aston Villa and fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table, with their chances of claiming a Champions League spot for next season now very slim.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Bournemouth, who will enter the contest off the back of a 2-1 loss to Luton Town.

Raphael Varane

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Unknown Possible return date: April 13 (vs. Bournemouth)

Varane was forced off at the interval of the clash with Chelsea due to another injury problem and subsequently missed out against Liverpool; he remains a major doubt for the game at Bournemouth.

Jonny Evans

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Unknown Possible return date: April 13 (vs. Bournemouth)

Evans was passed fit for the clash against Chelsea after an injury issue, and he replaced Varane at the break of last week's game, but the experienced defender had to be substituted soon after, and having also missed out against Liverpool, the Northern Ireland international remains a major doubt.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: May 4 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Lindelof will be absent until at least the start of May due to the hamstring problem which he picked up in the recent contest with Brentford.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: May 4 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Martinez's injury problems are continuing, with the Argentina international picking up a calf issue in training, which will keep him on the sidelines until the start of May.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia is in individual training, as he bids to recover from a knee injury which has required two separate operations, but the Dutchman is likely to miss the rest of the campaign.

Anthony Martial

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

Martial, who has not featured for the Red Devils since early December, underwent a groin operation in January, but he is back in individual training and could feature before the end of the month.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw is currently on the sidelines with another muscular problem, and the left-back is battling to return to action before the end of the season.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Unknown Possible return date: April 13 (vs. Bournemouth)

Rashford was forced off against Liverpool last weekend with a minor issue, and the England international will therefore need a fitness test to determine his availability for this match, but he is expected to feature at the Vitality Stadium in Saturday's late start, having claimed that he was "okay" in a post on social media.

Scott McTominay

Status: Out Type of injury: Unknown Possible return date: Unknown

McTominay was a notable absentee from the squad against Liverpool last weekend, with Man United confirming that he had a fitness issue, and the midfielder is expected to be missing for the next two to three weeks.
