Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Club Brugge

Man Utd injury, suspension list vs. Club Brugge

Manchester United head into the second leg of their Europa League last-32 tie with Club Brugge with work to do in order to make further progress in the competition.

Despite having netted an away goal in the opening fixture, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are currently locked at 1-1 on aggregate with the Belgian outfit.

However, United warmed up for the next clash with Brugge by registering a 3-0 triumph over Watford in the Premier League at the weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the meeting at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Paul Pogba

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: March 5 vs. Derby County)

Pogba underwent ankle surgery last month but is believed to be entering the latter stages of his recovery. Although a timeframe has not been revealed for his return, the Frenchman could feature in one of the upcoming matches.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Out Type of injury: Back Possible return date: Unknown

Rashford faces a battle to play again this season, having suffered a stress fracture to his back against Wolves on January 15. Solskjaer has acknowledged that the forward is expected to be sidelined until May.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: February 27 (vs. Club Brugge)

Tuanzebe has been out with a hamstring problem since the middle of December, but is thought to be making solid progress in his recovery. The centre-back could come back into contention for Thursday night.

Lee Grant

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Unknown

Solskjaer revealed earlier this month that number three goalkeeper Grant had undergone surgery on an unspecified injury. As a result, the 37-year-old will miss the next two to three months of the season.
