Man City 'considering Lukaku as Aguero replacement'

Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester City.

Sergio Aguero is expected to depart the Etihad Stadium when his contract expires in the summer, leaving City in a position where they will require a direct replacement.

According to The Athletic, club officials have identified Lukaku as the perfect alternative to the legendary Argentine.

Since leaving Manchester United for San Siro in 2019, the 27-year-old has contributed 54 goals from 78 appearances in all competitions.

The report claims that Lukaku has a number of admirers behind the scenes at City, putting him at the top of the club's shortlist for the summer.

The Belgium international has three-and-a-half years remaining on his Inter contract.
