Manchester City close in on Fernando Llorente

Manchester City are reportedly closing in on Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente.

The Spaniard, who has been valued at £30m, has played an integral part in Bilbao reaching the semi-finals of this year's Europa League at the expense of Manchester United.

City are now thought to be in advanced negotiations with the 27-year-old's agent over a five-year deal, according to The Sun.

Llorente has scored 23 goals in all competitions for Bilbao this season.
