Sought-after Malaga winger Isco hints that he would consider following departing manager Manuel Pellegrini, favourite to take over at Manchester City, to the Etihad Stadium.

Isco has revealed that he would be keen to work with former Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini again, but only if the move away from Spain benefited his own development.

Pellegrini is currently the odds-on favourite to replace Roberto Mancini at Manchester City, having announced his decision to leave his La Liga employers at the end of the season.

Spanish Under-21 winger Isco is a reported targeted of several of the Premier League's elite, and has hinted that a reunion with Pellegrini at Eastlands would be a tempting offer, if he could be assured regular first-team action.

"He's been my footballing father and I know that he likes me and, for me, of course I would like to continue with him because he's given me all the confidence in the world," he told reporters.

"It's a very important decision for me and I don't want to get it wrong. I have doubts because I want to play, wherever it is, and that's the most important thing. I don't want to regret it after not getting many minutes.

"I'm not closing my door to anyone but my priority is to play and I don't want to be on the bench. We'll see what happens in the summer."

Chelsea and Real Madrid have also been touted as possible destinations for the sought-after wide man.
