Manchester City propose to swap Aaron Lennon for Emmanuel Adebayor

Manchester City are prepared to let Emmanuel Adebayor join Tottenham Hotspur if they receive winger Aaron Lennon in exchange.

City manager Roberto Mancini last week confirmed that he was interested in signing a wide-man, having earlier revealed that Adebayor was available for transfer.

The Mirror reports that high-level talks between the two clubs are now in progress.

However, any deal will hinge on Spurs being able to match 27-year-old Adebayor's wage demands.
