City 'eyeing up Isco as Silva successor'

Manchester City are reportedly lining up a summer bid for Real Madrid's £32m-rated midfielder Isco.

Sky Blues manager Manuel Pellegrini sees the 23-year-old as the ideal successor to playmaker David Silva, according to The Mirror.

Pellegrini worked with Isco at his former club Malaga, and the midfielder almost joined City two years ago before snubbing them in favour of a big-money move to Real.

Isco has three years remaining on his Real contract, but is reportedly unsettled in the Spanish capital.
