Barcelona, Manchester City 'locked in talks over Eric Garcia'

Barcelona are reportedly locked in talks with Manchester City as they attempt to come to an agreement over teenage centre-back Eric Garcia.

The 19-year-old left Barca for City in 2017 and has recently worked his way into the first team at the Etihad Stadium, making 27 appearances in all competitions.

Garcia's contract with Pep Guardiola's side is due to expire next summer, though, and he has allegedly made it clear that he wants to return to Camp Nou.

According to Sport, Barca and City are currently in negotiations over the youngster, and the English giants have made it clear that they will not be selling him in January for anything less than £13.5m.

As a result, Ronald Koeman's side might have to wait until the end of the 2020-21 campaign to sign the Spain international, who has also recently been linked with Real Madrid.

Garcia has made four appearances for the Citizens this season.
