Team News: Pep Guardiola names strong Manchester City XI

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola names a strong starting lineup for the second leg of the club's EFL Cup semi-final with Bristol City.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has named a strong starting lineup for the second leg of the club's EFL Cup semi-final with Bristol City.

The Premier League leaders hold a 2-1 advantage from the first leg, and Guardiola has avoided the temptation of resting a number of his stars for the trip to the Championship outfit.

Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero are among those who start in attack, with goalkeeper Ederson and winger Raheem Sterling the only regular starters to begin the contest on the bench.

Vincent Kompany is also included among the replacements, having spent a number of weeks on the sidelines through injury.

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson is forced to make a change between the sticks, with goalkeeper Frank Fielding suffering an injury in their most recent fixture at Derby County.

Luke Steele is brought into the team, but Nathan Baker is fit enough to feature on the bench despite sustaining a knock during the same game.

Bristol City: Steele, Wright, Flint, Magnusson, Brownhill, Pack, Smith, Walsh, Bryan, Paterson, Reid
Subs: Wollacott, Baker, Eliasson, Kent, Engvall, Taylor, Diedhiou

Manchester City: Bravo; Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Zinchenko; Fernandinho, Bernardo, Silva, De Bruyne, Sane; Aguero
Subs: Ederson, Danilo, Kompany, Sterling, Gundogan, Mangala, Yaya Toure
