Real Madrid injury update vs. Man City - Los Blancos duo to miss out

Real Madrid will welcome reigning European champions Manchester City to Bernabeu on Tuesday evening for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

Carlo Ancelotti's side have not been in action since March 31, when they beat Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, with Los Blancos having a free weekend ahead of this contest.

The capital giants will be bidding to secure a positive result on Tuesday ahead of the second leg in Manchester on April 17.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Man City, who will enter the clash off the back of a 4-2 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Thibaut Courtois

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Courtois underwent surgery on an ACL injury back in August; the goalkeeper had been in line to return alongside Eder Militao against Athletic, but it was revealed before the March international break that he had suffered another knee injury in training, leading to a season-ending operation.

David Alaba

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Alaba suffered an ACL injury against Villarreal on December 17, and the Austria international will not be available for Real Madrid until the 2023-24 campaign.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real Madrid have no players suspended for this match, but Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni are a yellow card away from missing the second leg.
